Therapy
As part of the treatment modality, residents receive several specialized therapy services including:
- Pet Therapy — weekly visits from our friends with the Good Zoo at Oglebay Park
- Rehabilitation Therapy/Recreation Therapy — daily (7 days/week)
- Group Therapy — daily
- Individual Therapy — weekly (one-on-one with their therapist)
- Family Sessions — every 2 weeks (initiated upon admission)
- Physical screenings are also done upon admission to identify any needs for physical, occupational and speech therapies. Our Interdisciplinary Team will also coordinate medical and dental services with referrals as necessary.
In addition, Fox Run features a non-public chartered school, licensed through the state of Ohio. This licensure enables our residents to receive transferable credits to their local public school system. An integral part of their treatment structure, residents receive 5 hours of educational schooling 5 days a week year-round.
The Discharge Planning process involves a case manager who is assigned upon admission. The case manager will coordinate with parents/guardians, social service agencies, juvenile probation and other mental health professionals to establish adequate plans to address ongoing service needs once the resident has established a stable pattern of behaviors.
